About Snow Planet
This is the central snow area, where everything happens. The snow dome houses the various activities which are run at Snowplanet, and has various features within itself.
The snow dome features two platter lifts on either side of the dome to transport skiers and snowboarders to the top of the slope. There is also a beginners slope, which is served by a ski mat to transport learners one third of the distance up the slope. Snowplanet’s world-class terrain park includes a variety of rails, jumps and jib features to challenge even the most experienced snowsports athletes. Fresh snow is produced weekly and is kept cool at a chilly -5 degrees celcius.
The terrain park is a series of obstacles and equipment which are put through the snow dome for the more experienced skiiers who want to practice their tricks.
Every Friday night Snowplanet set’s up the terrain park. It is compulsory to wear a helmet at all times when skiing or snowboarding at Snowplanet. The park set up includes ramps, rails and many other fantastic challenges for you to have fun. Join in on freestyle Friday nights where the snow dome is open until midnight!
